Modelling a Frenchie Head...

Here is the process of my little French Bulldog heads from beginning to end, made in the exact same way as the previous wolf's head. This time I have tinted the wax with oil paint in order to create different coloured heads.

My handsome muse... :D

First the clay model.

As with the wolf's head a two part mold is made.

The mold is tightly bound for the wax pour.

Pouring wax through the pour hole.

The mold is then methodically rotated in order to coat the whole of the inside evenly in wax.

Once completely dry the head can be removed and any re-modelling can now be done.  As you can see I have chosen to make 'toffee-apple' heads with mine! The reason for this will be made clear shortly!

The finished product...

These heads will be used in my upcoming degree show in June. The photos for the show will be available at my website andreajackelleg.com.
